[8.13]印象派画家Seago, Edward作品展
Seago, Edward, 1910-1974 Edward Brian Seago was born March 31,1910. He was a painter of landscapes, marines and flowers in an Impressionist style. On the subject of painting water, he said: “Water, in itself, has so much to offer, so much beauty, so much power. I love water when its own colour predominates, by which I mean the color of the light scattered back from below, and it seems almost to contradict the sky. All rays of light going into the water must be scattered and absorbed. If they were all scattered, the water would appear white, and if they were all absorbed it would appear black; so the colour of water is determined by the rays which are scattered and by those which are weakened by absorption.”
